Co-Creator & Collaborator
I am a creative who works well with others. I have an experienced and critical eye for movement as well as connection with silence, sound and music having worked within a professional capacity both as both dancer and choreographer. I spent thirty years as teacher of Actor Movement at Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, including co-authoring Actor Movement: Expression of the Physical Being, Bloomsbury, 2015.

Performative photographic collaboration:
Since the early 80’s, my work with photographer Clare Park has been my artistic collaborative venture outside of teaching actors. Photographic series produced: 16 Wonderful Women; Breaking Form: Buz and Parkinson’s; Series Yellow; Friendship; Series Blue (includes my own photographic landscapes within the montages); W(h)arming; Curtains, Seems 2021 and 66/22.
Images from each series have been exhibited and published.
With their use of props, recurring themes and locations, Clare’s photos are the outcome of our joint creativity as sole crew, hard graft and commitment to a co-conceived objective with either one or both in front of the camera.
Breaking Form: Re-Formed

A book of personal writings and imagery. I am subject, muse and collaborator in the imagery, co-writer and co-creator of the content.
Photography by Clare Park, design by Matilda Williams, self-published in 2019. At its centre, is the photographic series ‘Breaking Form: Buz and Parkinson’s’ developed over two decades by Clare, Buz, my husband, and I, and ends with selected imagery Clare and I made from 2014 after Buz’s death that reconnects with our previous work.

A Square Foot of Sky 2021/2

A book of poetry and photographic images, self-published in May 2022 with poetry by Anne Gruenberg, photography by Clare Park, edited by Kelly Davis and designed by Matilda Williams. I conceived and am ‘The Dancer’ in the photographs - expressive conduit to Anne’s poetry of her experience of thirteen years of incarceration in psychiatric institutions.
Anne sourced the ‘theatrical/archetypal’ red dress worn by The Dancer who is seen moving in different landscapes with different props. The poems and mythic images interact, text and photographs speaking to each other through the pages.
